NUCLEARHAMMER set release date for new IRON BONEHEAD EP, reveal first track

Today, Iron Bonehead Productions announces September 25th as the international release date for a brand-new EP from Nuclearhammer, XAOS 333, on CD and 12" vinyl formats.
For over 20 years now, Toronto's Nuclearhammer have stood in defiance. Begun in the early days of bestial metal's resurgence, refined during its oversaturation, and then aiming for even-more-unconventional hinterlands of the imagination as the 2010s rolled on, the power-trio's catalog is vast in its scope but exceptionally focused in its cruel, chaotic vision. Every step of the way, Nuclearhammer have profoundly understood the mind-altering powers of hypnotic trance when applied to savage, grinding black metal, and their works are as refreshing now as they were upon their original release.
Witness XAOS 333: although recorded in 2018, the band's first recording to be revealed since 2023's Xaos Tenewas - Demo MMXXIII. While the power electronics of 2014's staggering Serpentine Hermetic Lucifer have been since shorn, the three songs comprising XAOS 333 offer arguably the most hypnotically violent version of Nuclearhammer in many years. The attack is almost ethereal at points, with pulses and pulled strings reverberating in directions both downward and skyward. Indeed, reverb is utilized as weapon - not to mask ineptitude, but as a means to guide the listener to portals otherwise unattainable through conservative soundfields. That those sounds meld into and malform out of each other is yet another aspect of Nuclearhammer's characteristic alchemy, and proof writ large that these players achieve out-of-body experiences in their bestial mysticism. Magick is there for the communing in XAOS 333.
