North London’s rising heavy force DROMOS proudly announces its signing to Argonauta Records, marking a pivotal step in the band’s journey through the deeper realms of doom and sonic exploration.
Formed in 2019 and rooted in London’s fertile underground, DROMOS features members with past and present ties to acts such as Grave Miasma, Final Dose, Mutagenic Host, Deitus and Eihort. Yet the band has always pursued a path of its own, something first revealed through their evocative debut EP released via Dry Cough Records in 2024.
Blending the crushing weight of funeral doom with expansive, almost psychedelic atmospheres, DROMOS builds immersive soundscapes where texture, dynamics and emotional depth take center stage. Their approach merges progressive sensibilities with meditative pacing, creating a sonic experience that resonates with fans of Pallbearer, Asunder, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Warning, Evoken and Bell Witch.
Commenting on the new partnership, the band states:
“It is an honour for Dromos to join the ranks of the many great bands that are, and have been, on Argonauta. The label’s track record speaks for itself and we’re very happy to be joining forces with them for the release of Failing Light.”
The signing paves the way for the release of the band’s forthcoming album "Failing Light", a work set to further expand their unique blend of heaviness and atmosphere.
In addition, DROMOS is set to bring its intense and immersive live experience to the stage at DesertFest London this May, marking a key moment in the band’s growing presence within the international heavy scene.
