US doom punk trio THORGRIM unveil full details of their upcoming album “Puca”, set for release on April 24th, 2026 via Octopus Rising / Argonauta Records.
Hailing from Sheboygan, Wisconsin, Thorgrim continue to carve their own path through a raw fusion of doom, sludge and punk, enriched with dark and abrasive textures. Their sound rejects overproduction in favor of immediacy and emotional weight, staying true to a vision rooted in authenticity and instinct.
With Puca, the band fully embraces this philosophy, delivering a record that captures the essence of their live energy without compromise.
“This album called Puca is about the pain and torment that shapes us all in life. It is recorded at Fox River Studio and Hinnendal Studios in Green Bay, Wisconsin in June and August 2025. It is recorded raw and live with no metronome, and no tricks. Thorgrim feels the need to record music as it is played live, mistakes, cuts and bruises. It is all laid out for all to bare.”
“Children of Doom” stands as a powerful introduction to the album’s bleak and visceral atmosphere, channeling crushing riffs and a primal sense of urgency that define Thorgrim’s sonic identity.
Following their signing to Octopus Rising and the release of their first single “The Movies”, Thorgrim confirm themselves as one of the most uncompromising new acts emerging from the US underground heavy scene.
