Zivanished (Cyprus)
It all started with the Syrimis brothers, Louis (guitar/vocals) and Constantinos (drums), who shared a vision of creating something they called “Cypriot Metal”, extreme music rooted in their own language, culture and sense of humor.
This idea led Louis to record “Sto Horkon” in 2009 and “Kafkas” in 2011. The latter was uploaded to YouTube, quickly gained attention and eventually led to Zivanished’s first live performance in 2011. After several lineup changes, the band found its final form in 2015 with the addition of Miguel Trapezaris. All three members are also active in Infected Syren and have been involved in the Cypriot metal scene since the late ’90s.
Zivanished’s sound combines thrash, hardcore and punk with Greek and Middle Eastern influences, delivered through aggressive riffs (sometimes with bouzouki), shouting, growling and lyrics written entirely in the Cypriot dialect. Their goal has always been simple: to create fast, extreme and uncompromising music while embracing the absurdity, humor and character of their roots.
Their latest release, 100% Αγνός Κυπριακός Βίλλος (100% Pure Cypriot Cock), was released on the 29th of May 2026, continuing the band’s tradition of mixing heavy music with experimentation and dark humor. The EP features “Ο Βίλλος μου εν Μιάλος” (O Villos mou en Mialos), one of the band’s most experimental and distinctive tracks. The accompanying music video quickly became one of Zivanished’s most successful releases, surpassing 14,000 views on YouTube within its first two months.

Over the years, Zivanished have shared the stage with internationally recognized acts such as Septicflesh and Assassin, while also performing headline shows in Cyprus and a show in Athens, Greece. Their live performances include belly dancers, fire dancers and combine intensity, humor and unpredictability, bringing their unique version of Cypriot Metal to audiences beyond Cyprus.
The band’s releases are available on Bandcamp, Spotify, YouTube, iTunes and major streaming platforms. All recording and production is handled at Louis’ studio, Syren Blast.
Having released two EPs and their debut album, Zivanished are now focused on bringing their unique version of Cypriot Metal to audiences beyond Cyprus, while continuing to write new material and perform live.
