• Hi! Can you give a brief history of The Last Sound Revelation, including the music style and the members?
The Last Sound Revelation was born from the meeting of musicians with different backgrounds but united by the same artistic vision: to create an intense, modern sound rich in atmosphere. The band mainly operates within the post-rock genre, with progressive and psychedelic influences, always seeking a balance between power and emotional depth. Each member makes a significant contribution to the songwriting process, bringing different experiences and sensibilities that make the project dynamic and constantly evolving.
• Could you provide more detailed information about The Proximity Effect and its sales performance?
The Proximity Effect was a very important work for us, as it marked a phase of maturation both in composition and production. The album received excellent feedback from specialized critics and a warm reception from the audience, allowing us to expand our fanbase abroad as well. In terms of sales, it exceeded our initial expectations, especially in digital and streaming formats.
• The Last Sound Revelation has signed with Octopus Rising. Could you tell us more about that?
Signing with Octopus Rising was a crucial step in our growth. It’s a label that pays close attention to artistic quality and is able to support our project in the long term. With them, we found a professional reality that truly believes in the project and is helping us bring our music to an increasingly wider audience.
• What is the difference between The Proximity Effect and Hidden Voices?
The main difference lies in the approach and atmosphere. The Proximity Effect is a work based on a very complex and layered concept that, through its nine tracks, attempts to reconcile scientific concepts about sound with the emotions it can evoke in the listener. Hidden Voices, on the other hand, explores more of the band’s emotional nuances and introspective side, through the narration of feelings connected to small and significant moments experienced by each of us. They are two sides of the same artistic identity.
• What inspires The Last Sound Revelation's music?
Our inspirations come from personal experience, from observing contemporary society, and from the emotions we live every day. In addition to the music of bands such as Russian Circles, Tool, and Opeth, we are also influenced by other forms of art such as cinema and literature. We try to transform reflections and sensations into sound, creating songs that can evoke emotions in the listener.
• Do you play live often? Do you enjoy performing abroad?
We try to play live as much as possible, because the stage is the dimension in which our music truly comes to life. Performing abroad would be an extraordinary experience for us, because engaging with different people and cultures is always inspiring and would enrich us, both artistically and personally.
• How often does the band practice and work on new material?
The band rehearses on weekly bases and dedicates a great deal of time producing new material. Even when we are not physically in the rehearsal room, we work remotely on our ideas. Composing is a fundamental process for us.
• How did the band come up with the name The Last Sound Revelation? What does it mean to you?
The name was born from the desire to express the idea of a “revelation” through sound—something powerful and definitive. “The Last Sound Revelation” represents for us the search for an authentic message capable of leaving a mark. It is a name that embodies intensity, mystery, and transformation.
• What are the band's plans for the near future?
We are currently working on new material and planning upcoming live dates. Our goal is to continue growing artistically, explore new sounds, and strengthen our presence beyond national borders.
