Swedish Blackened Death Metal Trio AGAINST I Set to Release Third Full-Length Album; First Single Out Now

Swedish blackened death metal band AGAINST I has set March 13, 2026, as the international release date for their third full-length album, Anti Life, to be released via Twisted Flesh Recordings. Marking the band’s most ambitious work to date, the album pushes their trademark intensity into darker, more expansive territory. The full tracklisting and cover art will be revealed soon.

In the meantime, fans can check out the first single, "All Hope Is Gone", on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/album/09ytcF3TnmuvOcgwnsJ5v4, and watch the official visualizer here: https://youtu.be/i71nKU58bdQ

Against I was founded in 2022 by Fredrik Keith Croona, known as vocalist and founder of Cynical Existence and ex-vocalist of Menschdefekt.

Together with Mathias Back (guitars) and Anders Ström (drums), they fuse elements of metal with hints of electronic parts into a cacophony of aggression and melodies.

In 2023, they released their debut album Carnival of Excess on Advoxya Records.

2024 saw the release of the EPs Perfect Smile and the follow-up Destruction Lullaby, which took the band in an entirely new direction. Later in 2024, the band dropped their second full-length album Songs for the Dying.

In 2025, the band is working hard on its third album, and while doing that, they aim to release a single on June 6, 2025.
