Austrian Doom Masters ENDONOMOS Celebrate First Anniversary of “Endonomos II - Enlightenment” with New Video for “Inversion”

Just in time for the change of seasons, Austrian death-doomers ENDONOMOS return with a powerful new music video for “Inversion”, taken from their critically acclaimed second album Endonomos II - Enlightenment (Argonauta Records, 2024), which celebrates its first anniversary these days.

Following their pandemic self-titled debut, Endonomos II - Enlightenment delivers six compelling tracks that further cement the band’s status as one of the most intriguing forces in epic doom metal. Comprised of singer/bassist Lukas Haidinger, guitarists Christoph Steinlechner and Philipp Forster, and drummer Marius Segl, ENDONOMOS traverse a soundscape of dark, brooding doom reminiscent of Ahab, Evoken, Mournful Congregation, Katatonia, My Dying Bride, Candlemass, Swallow The Sun, and Paradise Lost.

The new video for “Inversion” showcases the band’s signature blend of murky and melodic vocals, intricate guitar work, and rhythmic intensity. Lyrically, the song continues the album’s exploration of oppressive systems, religious totalitarianism, and the human search for utopia beyond the reach of societal constraints.

Recorded, mixed, and mastered at DeepDeepPressure Studios, the album delivers thick riffs, epic melodies, and haunting chord progressions. Tracks such as “Atheon Anarkhon”, exploring the tension between atheism and autocracy, and “Hostile”, featuring guest vocals by Daniel Droste of Ahab, highlight ENDONOMOS’ talent for marrying melancholy with grandeur, heaviness with melody.

“The theme of ‘Inversion’ is a powerful doom anthem that really encapsulates our vision,” says the band. “It’s about the duality of struggle and resolution, and we’re thrilled to bring it to life visually with this video.”

Endonomos II - Enlightenment continues to resonate with fans worldwide, and the release of the “Inversion” video offers a new opportunity to experience the album’s atmospheric and emotional depth.
