German Power Metal Project Scythed Releases Second Single from Upcoming Album Resistance

 

Following the announcement of their debut full-length album Resistance, and the release of the first single “Gladius,” German power metal outfit Scythed returns with their second track from the upcoming record. The new single, titled “Mona,” is now available on all streaming platforms: https://listen.music-hub.com/u09aC4 "Mona recounts the infamous assault on the island of Anglesey, where Roman forces clashed with Druidic tribes in a brutal and unsettling battle. The song captures both the eerie atmosphere of ritualistic resistance and the overwhelming discipline of Rome's military response." - says Markus Tillmann Scythed is a Power Metal solo project by German musician Markus Tillmann, developed between 2022 and 2025. The main writing and recording took place from 2023 to 2025. With a background as a bassist in various bands and a growing focus on guitar since 2021, Markus composed the majority of the music and lyrics for the project. To bring the songs to life, he collaborated with vocalist Mau and drummer Jacques, whose performances helped shape the album’s final sound.
