Hailing from the mystic woods of Umbria, Italian experimental rock duo FOLWARK has announced their upcoming album, ALL SHADOWS STRETCHED, set for release in 2025 via OCTOPUS RISING / ARGONAUTA RECORDS. Formed in 2014, FOLWARK is the brainchild of Francesco Marcolini (guitars, synths, vocals) and Tommaso Faraci (drums, theremin, vocals). The duo channels an intense and transcendental sonic experience, merging raw, heavy-hitting grooves with hypnotic soundscapes. Their music shifts seamlessly between intricate syncopations, forceful surges, introspective loops and cosmic explorations.
More than just a heavy rock act, FOLWARK embraces improvisation, crafting immersive jams and psychedelic mantras that build layer upon layer, creating a mesmerizing interplay of vibrations and harmonics. Their unique approach has led them to feature in various art and sound festivals, collaborating with visual artists to bring their otherworldly visions to life.
The band's debut album, VIMĀNA (2019), was mixed and mastered by Claudio Adamo (Cani dei Portici), solidifying their presence in the underground experimental scene. That same year, they contributed a striking cover of Nine Inch Nails’ Pilgrimage to the A Fragile Tribute compilation (Olive Produzioni/Seahorse Recordings).
Their forthcoming album, ALL SHADOWS STRETCHED, was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Lorenzo Stecconi (Amenra, Lento, Ufomammut, ZU), promising an even deeper dive into the band's vast sonic dimensions.
