Pretty good thanks. I can’t complain. 2024 was a very satisfying year in the music field.
Can you tell us more about Reflections?
Reflections is born from the desire to preserve what was well done with Solitude. It's a natural evolution of the previous album.
Did any particular event inspire you to write this album? Where did you find the inspiration for the songs and lyrics?
There was not really a particular event that inspired me to write the album. After a year of Solitude with Alessandro we met again and decided to write new music. We had a lot of riffs and music compositions that we hadn’t used in Solitude and that seemed to be really good for a new album. We added new compositions and within a year Reflections was ready. This time we wanted to go further musically, reducing the clear references to bands I love, like Black Sabbath and BLS, which are very present in Solitude. We can say that Reflections is a very free album compared to Solitude. You can hear various nuances and there are many different musical moments. Texts focus mainly on the concept of the time that passes. You have to concentrate on the present. If you think about the past, you will not be able to live in the present. Do not give up until you reach your goal! Instead "They are gone" is the continuation of "Cold Embrace" track present in Solitude.
Are there any plans to release a new music video for one of the tracks?
Given the great work done with the video of Loneliness, I would like to make another video in that style. But for now, there is nothing concrete.
Can you describe the recording and writing process for the album?
The writing of songs took place at my house. We met up with Alessandro and started composing. We then recorded the bass tracks in my home studio. Instead, the guitars and drums were recorded in Dyne Engine Studio by Pesaresi Manuele. Massimo Gerini recorded the vocals in his home studio. Everything was then mixed and mastered at Dyne Engine Studio.
What was it like working with the Sliptrick Records, and how did that relationship develop?
I met Sliptrick Records through another band of mine, the Ethereal Flames. Given the good work done with the promotion of the album "Myths and Legends of Our Land", I decided to bet again on Sliptrick for Reflection.
To what extent did each musician influence the album?
Each musician enriched the album. Although the main influences were mine, Alessandro gave me a big hand in composition. All the musicians helped to raise the final level of the product. I am very pleased to be able to collaborate with professional musicians like Massimo Gerini and Stefano Rutolini.
Are there any plans to go on tour?
For now, having also 2 other bands, the Ethereal Flames and Rocklust, I have not planned any support tour for Reflections. But never say never. In case you will be informed soon.
What else is happening in the world of ANDREA PALMIERI?
It is a very intense time for me, both in the field of music and in my daily life. I always try to improve myself and at the same time enjoy my free time. Thank you so much for this interview and your support. It really means a lot to an artist like me. I hope to work together again in the future.
