Review of BANGKOK DOLLARS - Lost Souls

Everybody knows Finland is one of 'more metallic' countries because of extremely many bands in different genres. Not only folk-metal, bestial death/black or doom metal coming out of there but also some hard'n'heavy sounds as well.

Bangkok Dollars - one look at the title may confuse you because I decided it could be some hip-shop stuff which is totally out of my interest but as a result we got hard'n'heavy album.

Lost Souls is the band's second full-length album so far released in October 2021 by Sliptrick records. Ten tracks of hard rock mixed with some heavy metal elements. Actually the typical music but luckily with many catching moments on it. I cannot say I'm going to listen to this material every day but I'm sure the day I will return to this record will come, haha!

So, on this album, you can hear some kind of well-composed and played hard rock mixed with some prog and grunge tunes covered with heavy metal. The whole album sounds a bit quiet with no aggressive parts but it has a good mood. The musical part is good as well, you have clear measured guitars, drums, bass and a typical hard rock voice.

Clear the fact musicians were inspired by Foo Fighters, Mötley Crüe and Led Zeppelin but let be honest I'm not sure some band is able to play something better than the aforementioned bands thus Bangkok Dollars is the next band inspired by musical gods and playing the music to keep music industry alive.

Heat of the Night or Metal to Rust - are pretty good heavy metal shots! Probably two of my favorite songs on the album. Check this out you will probably find many interesting vibes!
