Nick Mantoan is an Italian musician who started his career back in the 2010s but studied music for years. In spite of this project's title being dedicated to Nick himself there are also two musicians in the band: Filippo Girivetto – Bass, and Mattia Baricca – Drums.
Musically, Raw is an alternative hard rock album with some rock'n'roll vibes (mainly when it comes to guitar/drums work; "Trouble Maker" proves it better). The music is not boring and comes with many really catching moments in it. The songs' structure is enough reach so you won't hear one and the same rhythm but the variety of them.
The album contains 13 tracks that definitely will find its listener. You can hear many vibes on this record, like Motley Crue, Motorhead ("Boom" - sounds like a light version of Motorhead) and many others.
Nick says: "Raw because everybody can understand that, Raw because it is straight to the point, Raw because it is Rock ‘N’ Roll." and I agree with that statement, everybody can understand that and it is rock'n'roll.
